Thursday 27 April 2023

5:00PM -7:00PM

The Business Centre

6 Dick Street, Newcastle West

Participants will learn about:

  • Remote Work: Many businesses were forced to adopt remote work during the pandemic, leading to challenges in managing remote teams. Small businesses may have fewer resources to invest in the necessary technology and infrastructure to support remote work.
  • Health and Safety: Small businesses need to ensure the health and safety of their employees, customers, and visitors. This may involve implementing new policies and procedures, providing personal protective equipment, and sanitizing workspaces regularly.
  • Employee Burnout: The pandemic has taken a toll on the mental health of many people, and this has led to increased rates of burnout. Small businesses may have limited resources to support their employees' mental health, leading to increased absenteeism and decreased productivity.
  • Recruitment and Retention: The pandemic has made it more difficult for small businesses to attract and retain talented employees. Many people are hesitant to return to the workplace, and some are looking for more flexible work arrangements.
  • Financial Constraints: Small businesses have been hit hard by the pandemic, and many are struggling to stay afloat. This may make it difficult to invest in employee training and development, as well as benefits and other HR initiatives.

About Business Fusion

Our customers have asked The Business Centre team to host a meaningful event. An event that brings business owners into a trusted space where business concepts can be explored, ideas can be generated and meaningful business connections can be made.

So... meet Business Fusion.

  • Fusion is not about exchanging business cards or going for a hard sell. It is an event where business owners can take the time to explore relevant  topics and consider how their own business can evolve. Topics include; The Circular Economy, United Nations Sustainable Development Goals, Authenticity in Business, People vs Robots, Ethical Dilemmas and more.
  • We value diversity in the Fusion room. We welcome a range of voices, industries and stages of business. Through diversity comes exposure to different perspectives and ways of thinking. What's not to love about that?
  • Our events will occur on the 3rd Thursday of each month at our office in Newcastle. Each event will kick-off at 5.00 and run to 7pm. Canapes and drinks will be served throughout the event.
