RDA Hunter invites you to SAVE THE DATE for the 2019 STEM Defence + Innovation Pitch Night.

Following the success of the 2018 pilot program, a cohort of 12 high school students have participated in the 2019 STEM Defence + Innovation Program developed by Regional Development Australia (RDA) Hunter and delivered in partnership with the Business Centre.

STEM Defence + Innovation is a springboard to commercialising students’ prototypes. They each brought a project they’ve developed during their studies in RDA Hunter’s high school subject, iSTEM, and experts from the Business Centre guided them through a professional process to help them commercialise it – teaching them techniques to help transition their innovative ideas and prototypes to commercially available products.

The 2019 Project will culminate with students from West Wallsend High School, All Saints’ College Maitland St Mary’s Campus, Newcastle Grammar School and St Philip’s Christian College Waratah Campus pitching their innovation projects to a panel of defence industry experts in front of an audience of business, industry and government representatives.
